Introduction to Firearms
This class is for the person(s) with no or minimal experience with firearms. It is designed to put the newcomer’s mind at ease with firearms and familiarize them with firearm safety and handling at a very basic level. This program will not focus on accuracy but safe and proper firearm handling and discharging. We start all students with a .22 caliber revolver. This is one of the smallest and tamest rounds available and is perfect for the beginner before moving to more advanced firearms.
This course costs $60.00*, including range fee if meeting at my club (FTRPA
). You are free to bring your own gun for the class. If you do not have your own handgun, you can borrow a gun and purchase ammo from us for the range exercise.

Advancing Levels
The intermediate and advanced instruction levels are designed to elevate your skills beyond the basics, focusing on precision, speed, and tactical proficiency. The intermediate shooting class bridges the gap between beginner and advanced levels, offering a structured environment to enhance fundamental skills and introduce more complex techniques. Participants in this course should already have a basic understanding of firearm safety and operation, as well as familiarity with shooting stances and grip. In this program, we will focus on refining accuracy through drills that emphasize sight alignment, trigger control, and recoil management.
This course costs $125.00, including range fee if meeting at my club (FTRPA
). You are free to bring your own gun for the class but, If you do not have your own handgun, you can borrow a gun and purchase ammo from us for the range exercise.

Meet the AR
There is quite a bit of hype and misinformation about this rifle so let me dispel some of that now. AR does not mean Assault Rifle. AR stands for ARmaLite (or Armalite Rifle) the originator of the design.
The first time I shot one of these I was amazed at it’s accuracy, tameness, ease of use and especially it’s convertibility. If you have never shot one but are curious, we have them in .22LR and .223/5.56 (the most popular chambering) for you to try. $75.00, including range fee if meeting at my club (FTRPA
) for 90 minutes + ammo.

Family Plan
This is for the family that is not familiar with guns and maybe has never owned or even shot a gun, but understands the need to be able to protect their loved ones in the event of a home invasion.
For those not raised with guns, there are special considerations you may not have thought of. The gun owner must be proactive in their firearm safety measures, particularly when young ones are in the home. This not only involves keeping guns out of young hands, but understanding the consequences of having to discharge a firearm in the home.
Let us teach you how to protect your family and home safely. This course includes approx. 2-3 hours of classroom time and actual shooting range time for the adults (with some classroom time and maybe limited range time for the youngsters). The cost is $150.00, including range fees and ammo.

CCW
Carrying a concealed weapon requires an increased and constant awareness of your surroundings, as well as a thorough knowledge of your rights and responsibilities should you ever have to use your firearm in self-defense.
In this course, you will learn situational awareness, local state and federal gun laws and regulations, safe storage requirements, conflict de-escalation tactics, law enforcement encounters, conflict management and use of deadly physical force, including the circumstances in which deadly physical force may be considered justified, as well as the techniques and equipment required to draw and use your firearm safely.
